Easy trick to lubricate Singer motors

Singer potted motors require their grease cups refilled periodically.
The manual says to do it like this:

Unfortunately the current Singer grease isn't right for those motors.
Vaseline works as a substitute, but how to get it in there without a giant mess?
Here's a trick I worked out to do it.

Tilt the machine back and remove the grease caps. Get an ordinary drinking straw - this one is from Wendy's.

Stick the straw straight down into the Vaseline jar, all the way to the bottom.

Now pull it slowly out, gently twisting it as you go. It should come out full of Vaseline. Wipe off the outside.

See what happens when we squeeze it?

Now just stick the end into the grease cup and squeeze it like a tube of toothpaste:

Repeat until you have the cups full enough, then put the caps back on and you're good to go.

That's it. Simple tip; hope it helps.
